Bressingham Purple Jacob's Ladder

Polemonium caeruleum “Bressingham Purple”

There are other varieties of Jacob’s Ladder in the Barracks Garden that have been seeded by the birds. This upright perennial with clusters of bell-shaped, lavender-blue flowers and fern-like leaves blooms in early summer and grows to about 2 feet tall. It seems to like living in the shaded areas below the poplar trees.
